Partners & Support
Who we are
Wiltom Technical & Vocational Institute (WTVI) in Dodowa, Ghana, is a Christian-values-based vocational school for young people after Senior High School (SHS). Our first programmes will start in cooperation with Calvary Senior High School.
Many SHS graduates think about university but do not yet have practical skills or a clear direction. WTVI offers them an alternative: one to two years of skills-based training so they can enter the job market — or later continue to university with strong practical experience.
Our values: Skills · Innovation · Opportunity · Integrity
Our Focus
• Target group: SHS graduates, not JHS
• Location: Dodowa, Ghana (starting in Calvary Senior High classrooms)
• Main training areas:
– ICT & digital skills
– Electronics & solar technology
– Electric mobility / small automotive basics
– Basic healthcare support skills
Our aim: After SHS, every student who passes through WTVI should leave with at least one concrete skill they can use to work or start a small business.
Why We Need International Partners
From experience, we know that local fundraising in Ghana is not enough. To build this vision, we are looking mainly to international partners, especially in Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands. We are interested in cooperation with technical schools, vocational colleges, companies, NGOs and foundations that want to support practical skills training for African youth.
What We Need Now (for January–March start)
We plan to start our first vocational courses between January and March, using space at Calvary Senior High while the WTVI campus develops.
To open, we urgently need basic equipment, especially for ICT and practical workshops:
• 10–20 used but working laptops or desktop computers
• 1–2 projectors and simple screens
• Keyboards, mice, network switches and network cables
• Basic electronics toolkits (multimeters, soldering irons, hand tools)
• Simple healthcare training items (blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, etc.)
All items can be used, as long as they are safe and in good working condition. Even small quantities can make a real difference for our first group of SHS graduates.
