Academics

At WILTOM Technical & Vocational Institute – Dodowa, all our training is practical, career-focused, and designed for real jobs.

Our programmes combine classroom learning, workshop practice, and character development so that students can work, start their own business, or continue further studies with confidence.

Our Main Programmes – 2026 Intake

4. Health Care Assistant & Basic German (Elderly Care)

This programme prepares students to support nurses, elderly people, and sick people at home or in care centres. It also introduces basic German language so that students are better prepared for future opportunities in caregiving, especially with German-speaking employers.

Students learn:
• Personal care: bathing, dressing, feeding, and hygiene
• How to assist elderly and sick people safely in their homes
• Taking simple observations (temperature, pulse, general condition)
• Basic principles of cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient safety
• Basic German (A1 level): greetings, numbers, everyday phrases, days and time

Graduates can work as health care assistants in clinics, community health centres, and home-care services. The German foundation helps them if they later apply for German language courses, caregiving programmes, or work with German-speaking organisations. (This is not a full German nursing qualification, but a strong starting point.)
